Industry News Austria: Grand Opening of MediaShop's New Headquarters

MediaShops beautiful new headquarters, which includes a restaurant, flagship store and 180 workspaces.

More than 300 guests, friends and partners from all over the world came to visit our new Headquarters in Neunkirchen, Austria.

We decided to dedicated the whole day to all those who made our company and the new building a success story.

The day started in the morning with the official opening hosted by the Lower Austrian Government, of course our board members, as well as all involved construction companies, interior designers, local media and guests.

In the early afternoon tours guided by MediaShop employees were offered. Product presentations as well as workshops with the architects and the consulting team were held in all meeting areas. Time flies and in the meantime all our partners, suppliers, wholesale, friends and guests joined us from all over the world. Finger food & cocktails were alternated with inspiring speeches, a breathtaking band and DJ tunes that were heard until the early morning hours.

MediaShop CEO, Katharina Schneider, spoke the following inspiring words at the Grand Opening: “I am not proud of our new office building, though in the last weeks everybody told me that I really can be proud of all of this here. For me it has nothing to do with being proud, for me it is all about being thankful, thankful for all our employees who made this big success possible. It is like being the captain of a soccer team, without your team you are nothing”.

Facts & figures - the New MediaShop Headquarter in Numbers

Our new headquarter contains: 180 work stations, a flagship store for all our top sellers, a colourful art installation by VOKA, 3 meeting rooms, a creative lab with a hands-on work zone, 14 telephone and 1-to-1 meeting boxes, relaxation and recreation areas, a cafeteria serving fresh and healthy food for all our employees and clients (also open to the public).

469 days actual construction time: so it took only 1 year and 3 months from the first shovel till moving in, which was 10 weeks ahead of schedule.

In total 2.700 m² (around 29.000 sq ft) pure, modern, state of the art, open space office area – as we say, 'Always something new'!
