Dusseldorf, September 9, 2016.

VOGUE Fashion’s Night Out 2016 attracted thousands of fashion fans to the boutiques on Königsallee and the surrounding streets. QVC, the new VOGUE Fashion’s Night Out partner, broadcasted an inspiring four-hour live TV show from the luxury InterContinental Hotel Dusseldorf’s Bar 59. The QVC designers and product experts were on location to present next season's fashion trends in the catwalk-like atmosphere of the studio, and the adjacent Style Lounge proved very popular with the studio guests.

The 83 square meters hotel bar was transformed in less than two work days into the pop-up TV studio where the live TV show began at 8 p.m. with fashion designer Thomas Rath presenting his QVC-exclusive ‘THOM by Thomas Rath’ collection. He was followed by designers Jette Joop and Uta Raasch, who also presented the highlights of their current collections.

The shopping night kicked off in the hotel lobby with a QVC reception at 7.15 p.m. Around 200 invited guests, including various local and TV celebrities, as well as fashion and beauty influencers, enjoyed drinks with the QVC designers as they got in the mood for a fashion-themed evening.

Mathias Bork, CEO of QVC Germany, walked down the red carpet with Christiane Arp, Editor-in-Chief of VOGUE Germany, in front of an enthusiastic crowd. Hundreds of fashion fans celebrated the spectacular live TV show. The Style Lounge in the hotel atrium, where visitors could call in on make-up artist Boris Entrup for a quick make-over, was busy all evening. Astrid Rudolf from the ZDF channel’s ‘Fernsehgarten’ program was also in the Style Lounge providing style advice. Both she and alessandro nail expert Frank Schäberle were in big demand all night.

“It’s entertainment meets shopping,” said Bork, describing the event in a nutshell. “QVC’s live studio and Style Lounge brought together fashion and beauty fans from Dusseldorf and beyond for a very unique and emotional event that was part of VOGUE Fashion’s Night Out 2016. We’re delighted it’s been such a big success and it’s been great to have been involved in this very special shopping night,” added Bork.
